Wisconsin High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams (10/1/25)

The Wisconsin high school football season has officially reached its halfway mark, offering a crystal-clear look at the teams dominating the Badger State. With powerhouse programs cementing their status and several undefeated contenders surging up the board, the competition for the state crown is fierce!

These updated rankings are based on the respected Massey Ratings, the analytical model—once a staple of the BCS era—that uses game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory to determine the state’s best.

1. Arrowhead Warhawks (5-1)

The Arrowhead Warhawks hold firm at the No. 1 spot as they chase their first state championship since 2013. The Warhawks come off a commanding 38-0 victory over Oconomowoc last week, showcasing their balanced attack. The ground game is the engine, fueled by Jacob Siner (723 yards on 81 carries) and Jebari Craig Jr. (373 yards). Quarterback Nolan Hanson has been consistent, connecting often with top receivers Logan Crowley and Ryan Heiman. Arrowhead faces a big test this Friday night against No. 9 Mukwonago (4-1).

2. Franklin Sabers (6-0)

The Franklin Sabers have been nothing short of dominant since their tight season-opening win over Catholic Memorial. The Sabers are a statistical marvel, averaging roughly 40 points per game while stifling opponents, holding them to less than 10 points per contest. With a favorable schedule ahead, Franklin has a strong chance to run the table and achieve an undefeated 2025 campaign. Their focus this week is on securing a seventh straight win against Tremper (1-5).

3. Muskego Warriors (5-1)

The Muskego Warriors are off to a dramatically better start than last year’s state runner-up squad. Their defense has been exceptional, allowing just 69 total points through six games. Most notably, Muskego already has a signature win under its belt, having upended top-ranked Arrowhead, 21-17, just a couple of weeks ago. The Warriors will look to continue their momentum this week against Kettle Moraine (2-4).

4. Rice Lake Warriors (6-0)

The Rice Lake Warriors climb into the Top 5, riding an impressive 6-0 record. They secured a hard-fought 26-23 victory over now-No. 16 New Richmond last week, showcasing their ability to win close games. Averaging 32.5 points per game, Rice Lake could face another nail-biter this Friday night when they take on River Falls (5-1).

5. Homestead Highlanders (6-0)

Rounding out the Top 5 are the undefeated Homestead Highlanders. The backbone of Homestead’s perfect start is its superb, high-octane offense, which is putting up a scorching average of 47.8 points per game! The Highlanders are back at home this week against Cedarburg, aiming to maintain their incredible scoring pace.
