2024 NFL Draft selections by state

Florida once again led the way in the NFL draft, with 30 players selected for the second year in a row. This marked the fifth time in the last seven drafts that Florida has had the most players chosen. Among the notable selections from the Sunshine State in the 2024 NFL Draft were Terrion Arnold, JC Latham, J.J. McCarthy, Quinyon Mitchell, Michael Penix Jr., and Dallas Turner.

Latham, McCarthy, and Xavier Thomas were chosen from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The Ascenders have had a total of 21 picks since 2018, making them a notable source of talent for the NFL. Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas was the only other school to have three players selected in this year’s draft. Notably, Rome Odunze was a first round selection, while Jaden Hicks and Edefuan Ulofoshio were both drafted on Saturday.

Texas produced the second highest number of selections in the draft, with a total of 24. Notable players from the state include Jonathon Brooks, Tyler Guyton, Byron Murphy II, Patrick Paul, Ja’Lynn Polk, Ennis Rakestraw, Ja’Tavion Sanders, and T’Vondre Sweat.

Georgia has produced the third most NFL draft picks, with a total of 23 players selected. Notable selections from the Peach State include Javon Baker, Cole Bishop, Javon Bullard, Ladd McConkey, Amarius Mims, Trevin Wallace, and Nate Wiggins.

California had a total of 18 selections in the draft, which ranked as the fourth most. Notable players from the Golden State who were selected include Brock Bowers, Caleb Bullock, Jermaine Burton, Jayden Daniels, Troy Franklin, Laiatu Latu, Jalen McMillan, Johnny Wilson, and Xavier Worthy.
