Top 25 high school softball rankings

Summerville, South Carolina has earned a spot in the top 10 of MaxPreps Top 25 high school softball rankings this week. The team, known as the Lady Wave, boasts one of the top pitchers in the Class of 2025 with South Carolina commit Ansley Bennett. Additionally, the defending state champions from 2023 have been dominant on the field, outscoring their opponents 155-13

The playoffs have arrived in Louisiana, and No. 21 Calvary Baptist Academy from Shreveport has secured the top seed in the Division III Non-Select bracket. Teams can solidify their rankings in the Top 25 with a successful postseason run.

The regular season in Texas is coming to a close as teams vie for playoff positioning. Keep an eye on the Guyer (Denton) team in Class 6A, as they have only suffered two losses this season by a total of four runs. Finley Montgomery, a standout player from the Class of 2026, is leading Guyer as they aim to make a run for the state title this year.

MaxPreps Top 25 high school softball rankings

1. Katy, Texas, continues to dominate with a record of 29-1-1. Cameryn Harrison’s impressive performance included 12 strikeouts and a home run, contributing to the Tigers’ six-game streak of not allowing a run.

2. Saint Francis in Mountain View, Calif, remains undefeated with a record of 15-0. The Lancers secured a two-game series sweep against Archbishop Mitty, with senior Rebecca Quinn hitting a walk-off two-run blast in the 10th inning of the second game to clinch a 10-8 victory.

3. Northwest Rankin in Brandon, Miss, boasts a perfect 23-0 record. Reese Collier’s five RBIs and Jolie Hays’ 11 strikeouts and no-hitter led the Cougars to a 10-0 win over Pisgah on Saturday.

4. Orange Beach, Ala, maintains a flawless 27-0 record. Katie King’s three hits and four RBIs, along with Teagan Revette’s home run, contributed to the Makos’ 10-8 victory over Baldwin County on Friday.

5. Melbourne in Florida remains undefeated with a 22-0 record. Rylie Mecchella’s three RBIs and Jasmine Francik’s 18th career no-hitter were instrumental in the Bulldogs’ 11-1 win over Dwyer on Friday.

6. Orange Lutheran, located in Orange, California, holds a record of 15-3 and is ranked 6th this week. Their recent victory over JSerra Catholic was led by Brianne Weiss’s 12 strikeouts and a lone run brought in by sophomore Madelyn Armendariz.

7. Pace High School in Florida has an impressive record of 17-1 and is currently ranked 7th. During their recent game against Navarre, Jayden Heavener and Mallory Baker combined for 15 strikeouts in a 4-0 win.

8. Kaukauna High School in Wisconsin has started the season with a perfect 6-0 record and has outscored opponents 67-4.

9. Bartow High School in Florida has a record of 20-1 and is ranked 9th this week. Their recent win over Lake Wales was highlighted by Julia Heter’s home run and three RBI in a 5-0 victory.

10. Summerville High School in South Carolina remains undefeated with a record of 18-0 and has shut out their last seven opponents.

11. Pacifica from Garden Grove, California has a record of 18-2 and is ranked 12th. They have won three straight games, outscoring their opponents 34-1.

12. Doral Academy from Doral, Florida has a record of 18-1 and is ranked 13th. Anabela Abdullah and Isabella Pavlou each homered during their 8-1 victory over AIE in Miami Springs.

13. Watkins Memorial from Pataskala, Ohio has a perfect 10-0 record and is ranked 15th. Pitcher Carsyn Cassady struck out 14 and allowed just one hit in the Warriors’ 11-0 win over Locking Heights.

14. Hewitt-Trussville from Trussville, Alabama has a record of 22-4 and is ranked 16th. Pitchers Sara Phillips and Kate Hicks combined for 15 strikeouts, and the team had a strong offensive performance in their 12-0 win over Chelsea.

15. Basha from Chandler, Arizona has a record of 21-2-1 and is ranked 14th. They suffered an 8-7 loss to Xavier College Prep but will have a rematch with them on Tuesday.

16. Cedar Ridge in Round Rock, Texas had a 24-1 record last week and Caitlin Benningfield pitched a complete-game shutout in their 11-0 win over Round Rock on Friday. London Collins and Gabby Zulfekar also had strong performances.

17. Bloomingdale in Valrico, Florida is currently 20-0 and had a dominant game on Thursday with Amy Kinnard, Bryanna Rawlings, and Lindsay Cable all hitting home runs and scoring 17 runs.

18. Norco in California holds an 18-3 record and had a shutout victory over Corona with Coral Williams and Kimberly Neal allowing just one hit in their 7-0 win on Friday.

19. Guyer in Denton, Texas, with a 26-2 record, saw Jordan Osborne, Finley Montgomery, and Lauryn Jones driving in 10 runs in their 13-3 victory over Allen on Friday.

20. Skyview in Vancouver, Washington, with a 10-0-1 record, completed a doubleheader sweep over Prairie (Vancouver) on Monday, with Maddie Milhorn striking out 11 batters and allowing only one hit in the second game.

21. Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana has a record of 31-2 and was ranked 14th last week. The Lady Cavs will begin their playoffs on Tuesday.

22. Marist in Chicago has a record of 12-1 and was ranked 24th last week. Cameryn Lyons had an impressive day on Monday with three hits and four runs batted in during a 9-4 win over Joliet Catholic.

23. Lake Central in St. John, Indiana remains unbeaten with a 12-0 record and was ranked 24th last week. Lexi Iwema hit a crucial home run in the Indians’ 4-2 victory over Crown Creek on Monday.

24. Melissa in Texas holds a strong record of 26-2-1 and was ranked 25th last week. Freshman Hutton Adrian had an outstanding performance, hitting a home run and bringing home four runs in the Cardinals’ 11-1 win over Denison on Friday.

25. Austintown-Fitch in Youngstown, Ohio has a record of 6-1 and was ranked 10th last week. The Falcons rebounded from their first loss with two dominant wins after falling 2-1 to Canfield on Tuesday.
